Scott Dryden, MBA
Regional Vice President & General Manager
Mr. Dryden joined Polaris in August 2014 as Vice President of Business Development and was appointed Vice President, Operations in October, 2015. In February of 2018, following acquisition of Polaris by US Concrete Inc., he was appointed Regional Vice President & General Manager, assuming oversight leadership responsibility for Polaris and its subsidiaries. Mr. Dryden has held various management positions in logistics, customer service and business development in the marine and bulk materials handling industries. He was Director, Marketing and Customer Service; and later Managing Director, Eastern and Offshore Division for Northern Transportation Company Ltd., a substantial First Nations-controlled maritime transportation company serving the Canadian Arctic and Eastern Coast. Prior to this, he was the Manager of Customer Service and West Coast Operations for CSL International Inc., Polaris' exclusive shipping contractor, based in Vancouver, BC. Mr. Dryden attended the University of Victoria and holds an M.B.A. (with a specialization in Leadership) from Royal Roads University.
Sony Mann, MBA, CPA, CGA
Mr. Mann joined Polaris in May 2011 as Assistant Controller and was appointed Corporate Controller in December 2011. In February of 2018, following the acquisition of Polaris by US Concrete Inc, he was appointed Regional Controller, assuming responsibility of all Finance and Accounting activities for Polaris and its subsidiaries. Mr. Mann has held various finance and accounting positions in public and private companies which include bio-tech, high-tech and the hospitality industries. He was Director of Finance at Day4 Energy Inc., an international business with manufacturing and distribution in both Canada and Europe. Prior to this, he was the Corporate Controller at Forbes Medi-Tech Inc., a dually listed company on the TSX and NASDAQ operating in Canada, the United States and Europe. Mr. Mann is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia for over 18 years and holds an M.B.A. from Queen’s University.
Director, Supply Chain
Mr. Wasylyshyn joined Polaris in January 2018 as Director of Supply Chain. He oversees forecasting and shipping responsibilities for the shipment of Orca Aggregates from Vancouver Island to markets in San Francisco, Long Beach, and Hawaii. Mr. Wasylyshyn has over 20 years of experience in the building materials industry and logistics. Having most recently worked with Northern Transportation Company Ltd. as Director of Logistics and Terminal Operations Keven brings the marine expertise requried to ensure safe and efficient movement of Orca Aggregates.
Mine Manager, Orca Sand & Gravel LP.
Mr Mackay Joined Orca Sand & Gravel in January 2013 working in the Operations department and was moved to Safety and Loss Prevention Manager in September 2014. In June 2017, Mr Mackay was appointed Mine Manager and continues to lead the safe and efficient operations at the Orca Sand & Gravel quarry. Mr Mackay has a background in business management within the maritime industry as a part owner in a marine transportation and eco-tourism operation.
Rob McIntosh, MBA, P.Eng.
General Manager, Operations, Eagle Rock Aggregates Inc.
Mr. McIntosh joined Polaris/Eagle Rock Aggregates in October 2015 as General Manager, California Operations. He led the commissioning and development of the Long Beach Aggregate Terminal and is responsible for the aggregate distribution operations from the Richmond and Long Beach terminals in the San Francisco and Los Angeles markets. Prior to joining Polaris/Eagle Rock Aggregates, Mr. McIntosh held various leadership positions with several manufacturing and construction materials companies, including Cummins Engine Company, FMC Corporation, and most recently Shamrock Materials, the first US customer for Orca concrete aggregates. Mr. McIntosh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Melbourne, and an M.B.A. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
Director, Business Development, Eagle Rock Aggregates Inc.
Mr. Williams joined Polaris in January 2014 as Director of Business Development establishing market and technical metrics for opening of the newly developed Long Beach California importing and distribution Orca Aggregates terminal. He has 40 plus years experience in the concrete and aggregate industries, including U S Concrete, Standard Concrete, Design Economics, and Master Builders where he held senior management roles. As an entrepreneur, Mr. Williams assisted in the start up of three private equity companies; Matrix Master Inc, Economics In Technology and Paragon Technologies, where he held key executive roles. He is a past member of American Society of Civil Engineers, American Concrete Institute, Construction Specification Institute, National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, American Management Association and Society of Marketing Professionals.
